About the Role
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from active community leaders to join our Management Board who are keen to volunteer to guide the implementation of programs and activities that help meet our long-term vision.
The Board is comprised of senior leaders from diverse backgrounds who are capable of helping the CEO guide the organisation as it grows and develops in response to community needs and government requirements. We need leaders who have experience across industries and functions as diverse as operations, legal, government, and professional services.
You will need to be a dynamic and inspirational leader with excellent people skills and the ability to engage and voice your opinions as a member of the Board. Your commercial acumen will be matched by your skill in identifying and then capitalising on opportunities and finding innovative solutions.
The right candidate will show passion for road safety and education.
You will have led the development and have had an active role in contributing to strategic plans for small to medium size organisations, as well as having an understanding of the structural, corporate governance and other challenges faced by Not-For-Profit Organisations.
The tenure of the role is expected to be 3 years with potential for re-nomination subject to the terms of the Road Sense Constitution. You are expected to attend all board and committee meetings as required. The time commitment for Board members each month is approximately 5-8 hours.
In addition to the above, preference will be given to candidates with the following skills and experience:
Marketing and Business Development experience and be interested in becoming a member of / lead Road Sense’s Business Development Committee;
Governance / Compliance / Legal background and be interested in becoming a member of / lead Road Sense’s Governance, Nominations and Remuneration Committee.
- Satisfactory Working with Children Check and Police background check.
- Valid Driver’s Licence with no loss of licence at any time and no significant infringements in the past 5 years.
